An IT Physical Security Analyst maintains an interconnected hierarchy of security systems across the state, builds door access control rules, supports operators in monitoring for security intrusions, and programs security cameras for advanced analytics and alerting. In this position, you will be given the opportunity to work alongside peers who are versatile, enthusiastic, and continuing to strive to push AECC and our mission forward. In state travel will be required as necessary, and this position will serve rotations on an after-hours incident response team.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the design of security solutions to meet security, compliance and operational requirements.
  • Programs camera analytics and recording to identify and monitor potential security threats and to minimize the number of false positives.
  • Designs security operator screens to meet the security, compliance and operational needs of each facility.
  • Develops and implements an efficient logging solution to comply with all regulatory standards applicable to AECC facilities.
  • Tunes camera and network settings to ensure stable and effective data transfers between security equipment.
  • Tests and implements security and application patching on all physical security systems.
  • Performs backups of physical security equipment and develops recovery plans in response to the failure of such equipment.
  • Assists in the development of physical security procedures.
  • Assists in the collection of evidence for security incidents and for compliance with Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Standards.
  • Assists in the training on physical security systems and procedures.

Troubleshoots physical security systems to identify and correct problems and errors in operation.  

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Preferred experience in operating systems and networking and server administration

·         Preferred experience with Genetec security applications and security camera programming
