An IT Developer assists in fact finding to develop and/or modify computer applications and systems to meet the needs of Cooperative business functions.


  • Partners with other developers or analysts and employees from various Cooperative business units to identify the business requirements and develop application systems to support those requirements.
  • Develops design documentation describing the technical aspects of applications and systems, as well as run notes, change control logs and procedural flow charts.
  • Conducts testing and validation of software to ensure that software changes are reasonably defect-free.
  • Develops training, instructions and any other necessary support to users of computer applications/systems.
  • Prioritizes and schedules changes to applications according to business requirements and develops change control documentation.
  • Designs, develops, and documents business continuity and disaster recovery procedures to support the availability of critical operating environments.
  • Troubleshoots applications and systems to identify and correct problems and errors in operation. Provides feedback to the System Administrator to improve and enhance reliability of applications and systems.
  • Implements application changes/modifications in accordance with Change Management Procedures.
  • Provides assistance with development of program specifications.
  • Designs, codes, tests, and debugs programs; Prepares program and system documentation.


Minimum Qualifications

·            Bachelors in Computer Science or related, plus at least 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

·            Experience with any combination of RPG, PHP, HTML5, ASP.Net, javascript, and SQL languages and frameworks, Agile and MVC development methodologies, and IBMi and Windows Operating Systems environments.
