A Supervisor of Transportation directs activities related to dispatching, routing and tracking transportation vehicles; plans, organizes and supervises truck drivers to ensure the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.




  • Provides efficient and effective scheduling of outbound shipments from all locations and inbound shipments that are the responsibility of AECI.
  • Supervises drivers which includes advising drivers of loads and scheduling drivers in accordance to customer needs.
  • Coordinates with the VMI district supervisor in scheduling loads from the Oklahoma Distribution Center.
  • Prepares drivers’ paperwork, assuring that all DOT rules and regulations are met; promotes a safe work environment by serving as the Safety Coordinator for warehousing and transportation.
  • Participates in the development of scheduling and transportation procedures and provides coordination for the loading of all trucks with warehouse supervisors.
  • Coordinates with leasing companies and other vendors for the repair of all transportation equipment; Provides correspondence to and monitors all invoices from leasing companies.
  • Develops and maintains driver training programs and helps prepare as well as participate in annual inventories.
  • Provides information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to customers.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities may include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Minimum Qualifications

·         Associate’s Degree in Business, Logistics or other related discipline plus at least 3-5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Class B CDL

·        Forklift Certification

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or other related discipline plus

·         Supervisory Experience
