    A Field Sales Representative is responsible for generating revenue and profit within a defined sales territory.  Promotes a positive image, presentation of and selling of products, product lines and services while staying abreast of market conditions and trends. In this position, you will be given the opportunity to work alongside peers who are versatile, enthusiastic, and strive to push forward AECI’s mission.


    • Responsible for contacting assigned accounts on a regular basis, representing, building and maintaining a positive image of AECI in a professional, responsible and effective manner.
    • Responsible for presenting and promoting new and existing products and services offered to assigned accounts in a positive and successful manner.
    • Strategizes ways to increase sales and profit margin within defined sales territory and works with the purpose of making each assigned account a successful contributor to AECI's profitability.
    • Stays abreast of market conditions and trends within assigned territory and reports these changes and the status of conditions to Manager-Sales, Inside Sales personnel and AECI Purchasing Manager.
    • Analyzes and studies market potential of assigned territory and seeking ways to broaden sales base.
    • Actively assists in the development and training of assigned primary Inside Sales Coordinator, then works assigned accounts aggressively as a team in order to maximize sales and profitability. Must be able to utilize issued computer and provide quotations during customer sales visits.
    • Takes the initiative to increase product knowledge and sales skills through personal development activities, factory visits, sales seminars, etc.
    • Secures quotation feedback, contributes market knowledge to Inside Sales Coordinator for quotation development, and provide follow-up of same.
    • Resolves problems and offers solutions within assigned territory. 
    • Offers suggestions to Manager-Sales regarding topics such as: cost saving measures, reports needed, sales techniques, additions of products and product lines, changes to service area, department policies and procedures, and overall operations of department.
    • Collaborates and coordinates with all AECI Utility Sales & Services personnel to maximize service, revenues and profit margins.
    •  Submits required reports on a timely basis and responsible for safe and efficient use of assigned vehicle and maintenance of same.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Associates degree in Business Administration or related field, plus 6-years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience in the electric utility industry and with distribution infrastructure materials.
