    Summer 2018

    A Technical Writing Intern will support the Legal Division and Safety Department with the development and/or revisions of Safety and Health Standards, Procedures, Policies, and Training Material. In this position, you will be given the opportunity to take the skills you have acquired in school and apply them in a professional setting.




    • Plan, organize, write and edit standards, operational procedures, policies, and training materials related to occupational safety and health and physical security
    • Develop written exams and other tools to verify understanding of training
    • Produce electronic documentation and hard copy materials
    • Maintain strict document control practices
    • Maintain continuity of style and format

    Minimum Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    ·         High school diploma or equivalent.

    ·         Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Professional and Technical Writing or related field.

    ·         Senior or Graduate level.

    ·         Strong communication skills; oral and written.

    ·         Self-starter and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


    ·         Technologically adept and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.

    ·         Exceptional analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem solving skills.

    ·         Extremely detailed and accuracy oriented.
