    An IT Physical Security Analyst requires a combination of IT computer management skills and experience designing, installing, and maintaining physical security hardware and electronic controls. This position maintains an interconnected hierarchy of security systems across the state, builds door access control rules, supports operators in monitoring for security intrusions, and programs security cameras for advanced analytics and alerting. In this position, you will be given the opportunity to work alongside peers who are versatile, enthusiastic, and continuing to strive to push AECC and our mission forward. In state travel will be required as necessary, and this position will serve rotations on an after-hours incident response team.

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Assists in the design of security solutions to meet security, compliance and operational requirements.
    • Programs security cameras and video recording equipment to identify and monitor potential security threats and to minimize the number of false positives.
    • Designs and supports security operator screens to meet the security, compliance and operational needs of each facility.
    • Develops and implements a security access logging solution to improve security and compliance with all regulatory standards applicable to AECC facilities.
    • Maintains camera settings to ensure effective and reliable utilization of network bandwidth.
    • Tests and implements security system firmware and server application patching on all physical security systems.
    • Performs backups of physical security equipment and systems and develops recovery plans to respond to the failure of security systems.
    • Assists in the development / maturation of physical security procedures.
    • Assists in the collection of evidence for security incidents and for compliance with Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC-CIP-006) Standards.
    • Assists in training of physical security monitoring staff on physical security systems and procedures.
    • Troubleshoots physical security to identify and correct problems and errors in operation.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Associates degree in electrical, electronic or business related field plus 6 years of experience installing and maintaining physical security access control systems or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Preferred experience in operating systems and networking and server administration
    • Preferred experience with Genetec security applications and security camera programming
    • Preferred experience with physical security risk assessment and mitigation
