    A Workstation Support Intern will assist with various tasks in Workstation Support such as answering help desk phone calls, entering incidents and service requests into the ticket system, installing hardware and software, and troubleshooting minor incidents. We’re looking for someone who can maintain a high degree of situational awareness to meet continually changing conditions with a fresh and adaptable approach. In this position, you will be given the opportunity to work alongside peers who are versatile, enthusiastic, and strive to push forward AECC’s mission.


    This is a part-time 12-month position which will require an average of 15-18 hours per week during the hours of 7am – 7pm.  We can work around your class schedule within those hours. 


    • Answer IT Help Desk phone calls promptly and gather all information about the reason for the call.
    • Record incidents and service requests in the Service Manager portal for all calls as received and emails not previously recorded.
    • Assist other Workstation Support staff with the installation of new computer hardware and software.
    • Assist with cable management on desktop installations.
    • Research and assist with troubleshooting of workstation support incidents as they occur.
    • Provide support for Windows operating systems, Office 365 applications, and mobile devices.
    • Assist with the upgrading and implementation of the workstation inventory system.
    • Assist Workstation Support Manager with the management of documentation for desktop applications licensing.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Full-time student pursuing a degree in Information Technology or related field.
    • Strong communication skills; oral and written.
    • Self-starter and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Technologically adept and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
    • Exceptional analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Extremely detailed and accuracy oriented.
