    An IT Fiber Operations Intern will assist in various areas of transport fiber optic design and construction in the IT Fiber Operations department. We’re looking for someone who can maintain a high degree of situational awareness to meet continually changing conditions with a fresh and adaptable approach. In this position, you will be given the opportunity to work alongside peers who are versatile, enthusiastic, and strive to push forward AECC’s mission.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain outside plant documentation and operate fiber optic asset management software.
    • Assist the department with a variety of GIS mapping projects.
    • Assist with field data acquisitions and easement investigation.
    • Assist with the company’s GIS program.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Pursuing a college degree.
    • Strong skills with computer hardware and various software preferably ESRI ArcGIS.
    • Technologically adept and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
    • Exceptional analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Extremely detailed and accuracy oriented.
    • Self-starter and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
